Premise and Sneak Peak (04/16/08)

Now, you've noticed that although I've posted info about the characters, I haven't said anything about the plot. I don't wanna leave everything as a mystery, so here's the premise, along with a snippet from the script:

Suspense Film (Working title) - Written by Sebastián Zavala, Mauricio Kahn and Jerick Freyre

The film tells the story of a kid, who one day finds a girl being assaulted by a man and saves her. This mysterious girl gives the kid, before leaving, a card with a telephone number, a message, and the name "Damian" written on it. Almost immediately, our protagonist starts receiving mysterious calls threatening both his friends and himself. With the help of Julio and Ale, he decides to investigate what all of this is about, and to eventually discover both the reasons why they are threatening him, and the identity of the girl he saved.

Bits about the script (04/06/08)

So, welcome to my still-untitled movie's official website. Here you'll be able to find all the updates related to my incredibly low-budget suspense flick. We're still in the scripting stage, but everything's going fine. The first draft is almost complete, and most characters are defined and developed. Of course, we're writing the screenplay taking into account our low budget and limited shooting time, and although it's not going to be anything out of the ordinary, I have confidence in this movie. So... what do we have then?

Well, I'm not gonna start by telling you everything, so here are some facts: (Keep in mind that some stuff might change in the near future.)

- The main character's a young man and he's nameless.
- The screenplay's being written in Spanish.
- The majority of the characters are teenagers.
- The film's probably gonna be a short.
- The script's being written by me and two other guys.
- We still have many plot threads unresolved.
- Shooting will probably start in a month or so.
- There will probably be a total of ten speaking parts.

So yeah, as you can see, I will be revealing stuff little by little as we keep writing the screenplay. No images or anything like that for the moment, but maybe I'll post a portion of the screenplay in the next couple of days. I know only the most devote readers will follow the creation process of my movie, but as long as anyone is interested in this, I'll keep writing.
